A NEW CAR!!!

Well, not really, but it's new to us! We have been looking at vehicles since we are at capacity in our van, and this baby's arrival is quickly approaching-I have no desire to be out on a car lot during the holidays searching for a vehicle/dealing with salesmen. We had looked at a few, and I had checked the inventory of several lots on the internet-there aren't many to choose from that accomodate 8, especially not in our price range! :-) On Saturday night, I saw a 12 passenger van over in IN that was pretty reasonable and had low miles. We decided we would ride over and take a look. We passed the KIA store, where the van was located, and turned into a Toyota lot. Isn't that funny how the Lord can change our plans and lead us? We saw a van, Todd jumped out to check on the seating arrangements, and then walked down an aisle looking at what they had. He saw a 2004 Toyota Sequoia, which seats 8. He jumped back into the van and we saw a salesman coming. He told me he was going to ask about the price on that vehicle-I told him we couldn't afford it, he shouldn't bother. When Todd showed interest in this SUV, the salesman perked up and said it had been on the lot for a while and they wanted to get rid of it. He told us to come inside and they'd make us a "smoking deal" on it. When I heard the words "come inside", I was thinking-no thanks! I had already about had my fill of salesmen.... I'll move things along-Todd did end up driving the vehicle-he liked it. I had stayed in the van w/the two little boys and Sarah-she was asleep in the back. We left, deciding to look around some more-but we did like this car. Sunday at church, I asked a couple that has a Toyota Highlander how they liked it-they love it! On Monday, I looked around on the internet at the inventory of several other lots...our selection was very limited to seat so many. We decided to go back and drive the Toyota again, and try out the car seats/boosters. Needless to say, we ended up buying it! :-) I wish my camera was working....I want to show a picture...it looks so nice! Maybe I can borrow my dad's sometime soon!
It's hard to believe it's almost Thanksgiving! I know these next weeks are going to fly by....I always love this time....Thanksgiving, then the preparation for Christmas...probably my favorite time of year! :-) This baby will be here before we know it! I go back to the dr. on Thursday...I don't look for anything eventful....we are getting closer, though!
