Some big changes....and other news.

I'll start off with the "other news" first. Last week was SO busy. Todd had a dentist appt. on Monday, then since it was the end of the month, I headed in to work when he got home. By the time I got home, he was about to leave for work. The kids and I went to revival that night at a church nearby-all but Seth and Savannah. Seth has been acting terrible in our nursery here lately-I was afraid to take him to a new church, so my mom kept the babies. Tuesday, Todd headed over to our church to do a few little jobs he'd been neglecting, came home for a minute and left again. He made it home in time to jump in to his uniform and head off to class/work. The kids and I again went to revival that night, and I took the babies....Seth did fine, thankfully. Wednesday, Todd worked 8-4, the kids and I did school, as we do every day-we went to church that night. Thursday began Todd's four day weekend from work but, he spent much of the day in class...that night, he helped a widow from our church, moving furniture. Thursday night I went in to work with my mom so I wouldn't have to work on Friday-we ended up staying at the office 'til about 2:30 am-she was finishing up some things she wanted to get done before leaving on vacation, and I was trying to catch up-as usual. Friday morning, we got up, ate breakfast, packed some clothes, and headed to Northern Ky. to see the Creation Museum. The kids didn't do so well riding...they usually do fine. The museum was interesting...we aren't so "in to" science, but they did have a lot of neat things. The gardens outside were beautiful-they had a pond, several waterfalls, and all kinds of plants/flowers. They definitely did a good job in helping you appreciate God's creation through their landscaping. They also had a petting zoo...the kids enjoyed that. Seth was so tired from not having a nap, he was having a break down by the time we left. You'd think we would learn you can't by pass naps.... We stayed in the area that night and swam in the hotel pool-we were the only ones in, so it was nice. The next morning, we went to a mall in the area and walked around, before heading home.

Now on to our big changes. I haven't mentioned anything on my blog about this until now, because you never know who may be reading... Todd and I have struggled for a couple of years now, at least, about changing churches. We LOVE the people of our church-they are our family-it's the only church our kids have known, but there aren't many young people, and there are just other issues that make us worry about the spiritual well-being of our kids, and ourselves. Todd told me about a week or so ago that he felt it was time for us to go. He went to talk with our pastor on Tuesday and told him we'd be leaving. Our pastor asked that we would tell the church on Sunday morning, just so everyone knows there wasn't any problem. I couldn't believe it when Todd told me that....Sunday morning??? I was about sick thinking about it all last week...I just needed to be done with it all. It was kind of nice to go away on Friday-it took my focus off of things going on here for a little bit. Yesterday morning, thankfully, I didn't feel so upset, as I had earlier in the week. We went to church, I ended up in the nursery for Sunday school, which probably worked out good...I didn't see anyone but Seth and Savannah. We made it through the service, and at the end our pastor made the announcement. It was hard saying goodbye to everyone, but I was thankful that some people told me they understood and they thought it would be in the kids' best interest. It was so sad. We went out to eat with some friends...which we normally don't do on Sunday. We didn't get home 'til about 4. Last night we went to our new church...we joined at the end of the service. It is going to be a big adjustment, and it was a little sad joining a new church-change is always hard for me. Every time we are about to bring a new baby home, it's a little sad for me that things won't be like they were...I feel a little sad for the current youngest...knowing the changes in store for them. I know, that's crazy...change is just a little hard for me. So, it's a new chapter in our life...I am a little nervous about meeting new people-I'm not so outgoing with people I don't know. But, I am excited about the kids making friends, and I'm excited to be in a church that's growing, that has a vision, that's excited about doing things, and I look forward to the spiritual growth and changes that lie ahead for our family! If you think about us, just say a little prayer for us as we adjust.

Oh, Honey, lifting you up in prayer as soon as I am done typing. I love that you and Todd are in agreement and that you are always thinking of what is best for your arrows and I love the new family pic with all of you! Cute new look to your blog, too! You sure have been busy that just reading your email made me tired and as soon as I am done praying for you, I am off to bed!
