So, we ended up going up to camp on Thursday night to get Shelby. We got there just in time for the bonfire service. All of the kids and their counselors were still walking up to the place they have the bonfire-Shelby wasn't there yet. Amber, from our church came up and was talking to us and then she went back w/her campers. A few minutes later, Shelby and her cabin arrived. I had hoped that we could see her from a distance, before she saw us...but Amber went up and told her we were there before we had much of a chance to see her. She came running as fast as she could. She had the biggest smile on her face-she threw her arms around my waist and gave me the biggest hug!! She looked up into my face and was laughing one minute and then she started to cry. Of course, I started crying, our friend, Melinda who was standing there, started crying...Todd even had tears in his eyes. It was a sweet time...it was so good to see her!
During the bonfire service, the kids and I went with Melinda and her kids so they could all play. Todd and Shelby stayed at the bonfire service. It was another nice visit at camp.
On Friday morning we woke up and were slow moving. We were trying to decide what we should do all day....we headed out to a homeschool display for A Beka to order all of our material we'll need for this school year. We also stopped in at my mom's office so Shelby could see her. Later that afternoon we went to my parent's house so Shelby could visit my Dad. (they had plans that night, so we knew she wouldn't get to visit them much- and then they left for Florida this morning)
Saturday we didn't do much. Todd went to meet his Dad and brother for lunch. Yesterday, we went to church and then hung out at my parent's house. The kids were playing with their cousins and swimming. Our service was cancelled, so we visited a church nearby...we enjoyed the service so much! Their teens had just gotten back from the Bill Rice Ranch..it was so good hearing them tell about decisions they had made this week-it was nice seeing a group of young people who have a desire to serve the Lord.
Today, Todd started day shift. I am so glad he's on days....we'll enjoy it while it lasts! :-)
Yesterday, we also let the kids in on a little secret...I'll post more about that sometime! :-)

What a fun reunion for a 1st visit to camp! What day of the week do the campers leave now? Are you talking about Melinda V? Also, I'm really excited for your family w/ Todd being on 1st shift!
